Voilá a majestic mishmash of familiar songs and little known gems to set you souls off on your summer shebang.

1. Banks – Warm Water 

Fact: Totally Enormous Dinosaurs gentleman, Orlando Higginbottom, is this lovely lady’s producer.

2. The XX – Angels

Fact: Jamie XX (from The XX) creates wonderful remixes; take heed, young ones, and lend an ear to

Gill Scott-Heron & Jamie XX’s l’ll Take Care of U.

3. SBTRKT – Never Never 

Fact: SBTRKT frequently dons magnificent native society ceremonial masks, supporting SBTRKT’s notion of anonymity.

4. London Grammar – Metal & Dust 

Fact: Fresh, apt and beautiful new faces that are rising rapidly in the music industry. Keep an eye on this trio who are making many appearances over the summer at various festivals, such as, Wilderness and Bestival.

5. Lana Del Rey – Young and Beautiful

Fact: Lana Del Rey describes her unique pizzazz as “Gangsta Nancy Sinatra” meets “Lolita lost in the Hood.”

6. DIIV – How Long Have You Known?

Fact: The album artwork for the single “Sometime” is a print by an Inuit artist called Tudlik.

7. Splashh – All I Wanna Do  

Fact: Toto from Splashh said, “We’re pretty in the moment. If there’s something we like then we just go with it.” I believe this is a good philosophy to have – very carpe diem.
